The Dugat family have been winegrowers in Gevrey-Chambertin since the beginning of the 17th century. But Domaine Dugat-Py is created in 1994, by adding the maiden name of Bernard's wife, Jocelyne, to be domaine. They were married in 1979. Today, the domaine is one of the leading producers in Gevrey-Chambertin.
Sustainable farming is also important for them. They first started organic farming in 1999 and went fully organic 4 years later. Official certification was obtained in 2016. Biodynamic methods are implemented but not yet certified.
